Disgust

Mould grown on homemade agar plates is presented in a dynamic and striking way that in is unfamiliar for something usually avoided at all costs. These images aim to question the nature of disgust. That which revolts us can also fascinate. Take time, and things that once repulsed can become beautiful.

Combining beauty and disgust in conversation with each other, these images hope to give life to decay. On a large scale, the discs become planetary. The microscopic ecosystem within becomes an entire globe of it's own.
